Anubis' Knightly Shine

It was a quiet day, the skies were clear and the winds were crisp and clean. Aurora was sitting on her throne, drinking her freshly made honey milk. She smiles as she watches her kingdom live peacefully, knowing that a few of her knights of the Round Table are out in town scouting for any criminal activities. Not worried since she knows that her knights are well train to handle any problem that might come to them. She sometimes get a lil bored on her throne so sometimes she summons Veryerait to her to have some idle chat and whats the update around the kingdom. As they talk, Aurora always take notice that a certain particular Knight has always spies on her in a most obvious place, it was none other but Anubis. He always seems to be a dreamer and a unique knight in the kingdom, he always seem to try many different weapons just to impress Queen Aurora. Sad to say, it fails almost every time he tries to use more then one. Sometimes he seems to be cut out as a jester then a knight, but she does think his fail attempts are cute like a young child made a mess and say something cute to get out of trouble.

One night, as Veryerait makes her last round around the castle hallways, she hears the sound of metal clashing with metal. Thinking it's an intruder, she runs to the source of it with her lance ready. She kicks down the door and aims her lance at the intruder, but without surprise, it was just Anubis. Wielding two Battle Axes and hitting a practice dummy. Veryerait sighs and puts her lance away, shook her head in slight disappointment. "Anubis, why are you up in the middle of the night? If you were an intruder, I could have skewer you like a shish-ka-bob." He looks down, puts the axes down and puts his hands behind his back. He answers back. "Um... I was trying to practice to wield more then one kind of weapon..." She sighs and looks at him. "Tell me, what would you accomplish for just using more then one weapon? Doing that will put more weight in your gear. Making you slower and an easy target when trying to run towards or away from battle." "But... But..." She taps the wooden part of her lance on his head and smiles a bit. "Listen, I'm happy for your enthusiasm and all. But you gotta face the facts that you might not be cut out to be a knight, how did you become one anyways if I may ask?" He looks down and moves his foot a bit. "Well, I kind of... Beg for Aurora to make me a knight... When she came to town." She pats his head softly. "Listen, why don't you... Quit being a knight, and start off as a Squire so that you'll be train properly and you'll be ready to become a good knight." He tries to protest a bit. "But, Lady Veryerait-" "It is for the best, OK? I got to go to bed for my morning sparring and my duties, goodnight Anubis." She pats his head softly and leaves, leaving Anubis alone in the room. He looks down and grabs the axes, thought to himself. "Maybe she is right, maybe I'm not cut out to become a knight... But, I want to... So that I can stay by Aurora's side, and protect her..." He grips the axes and continues training in the night.

The next morning, Aurora was having a meeting with Veryerait. She was telling Aurora that Anubis should be demoted down to the ranks of a Squire so he'll be trained well and once he's ready, he'll become a true knight. Aurora feels a lil sad knowing she might break his dreams, but seeing as Lady Veryerait was concern about him, she thinks it might be the best. Hurtful, but in due time it'll pay off. As Aurora goes down to her throne, she saw the messenger ran to her. Tired and out of breath. "What is wrong fair messenger?" Aurora asked. "'huff' 'huff' We're under attack your highness! The Warlord has came with an army terrorizing the town and soon he'll come here inside the castle!" Aurora gasp as she fears for her people if they are safe. The messenger continues. "But don't worry mistress, the knights in the town have moved the villagers into a safe place. So they're gonna take them to shelter till this is all over." Veryerait then steps forward. "Aurora, I'll guide the rest of the knights to fend off as much as possible. I'll make sure none of the goons will try to come in here and get to you." "Alright Lady Veryerait, I trust that you will keep this kingdom safe with your strength. Oh, what about Anubis? I haven't seen him all day today at all." This also made Veryerait curious as well. "I don't know milady, in fact I haven't seen him at all today. Do you think, he has ran away?" This concerns Aurora as they are one man short, but she keeps faith in her warriors to protect the kingdom. "Lady Veryerait, you must continue on with or without an extra knight. We must keep going, we must not waver, we must proceed!" Veryerait nodded. "Understood milady, I shall not fail!" She ran out to the front gates and prepare for any incoming intruders, she keeps her lance out and her sword by her side.

As the goons were charging past a village, the sound of heavy foot steps was walking through the battle field. It was the Warlord, known as Danralg. He wears a gray tinted armor with the black outlines, he has a big navy blue cape with a golden line design mark near the edges, he wears a helm that shows his yellow glowing eyes with an evil mustache like design on the mouth guard and two long horns extended from the sides of his helm, finally he's dragging a huge size curved sword with red flowing hair strands at the end of the hilt. He looks around to see the chaos his men are creating. "Hehehe, splendid. Splendid indeed, as long as the knights are busy with them, I can just walk into the castle... And take the queen as my trophy of victory." He says as he walks through the battlefield, one of the knights saw him and charges to deal a fatal blow. But the moment he swung his sword down, Danralg grabs the side of his oversize sword and it split into two! He wields duel blades, one that blocked the knight's attack, and the other ready to strike. "Hmph, pathetic mortal. You aren't even worth my time." He then jabs his 2nd blade through the knight's abdomen, causing an unbearable pain in his body and making him bleed quickly. As the knight slowly bleeds out on the ground, Danralg continues walking towards the castle where Aurora is guarded in. "Once I have the queen as my own trophy, this whole kingdom will be mine for the taking. Then, I shall have no more use for her, and cast her aside as I will continue into another kingdom. Then another, and then another, until there are no more kingdoms throughout the world." He laughs as he drags his sword with him up the trail to the castle.

Up at the castle's entrance, Veryerait was fending off about 5 goons at once, but for every one she slay, two more takes his place. "Dang it! This isn't getting me no where, forget this!" She swings her lance to smack one goon off to fall on one, then she stabs the other one in the chest and kick him off to collide with the other three coming. "Finally, I can use their injuries and the stairs as my advantage. I hope Queen Aurora is alright in there, hopefully she has found shelter within the castle walls." She continues to fend the enemy as much as possible, yet on the back of her mind wondering where is Anubis and why did he left without a trace? She can't think about it right now as the kingdom was under attack. But then, during her fight, she saw... Him. Danralg himself started walking up the stairs, he wave his hand up to call more men to attack Veryerait. Keeping her more occupied with them then himself. "Lady Veryerait, a pleasure to meet you in this fine day. A very fine day indeed." She growl as she tries to slay more and more of his men away, but she couldn't get the chance to stop him as he walks inside the door. "No! You bastard!" She yelled at him as she saw he closes the door, he then continues walking down the grand hall, seeing the curtains that covers the throne room where Aurora is at. "Finally, this kingdom shall soon be mine. All mine alone" He walks towards the curtains. Outside, Veryerait was slowly starting to get exhausted as the endless wave of enemies continues on. She slowly starts to get out of breath and a lil dizzy. "Damn it... 'huff' I don't know, how much longer... I'll last..." She stabs one goon and then swung her lance to knock him down with 2 more guys, then that's when she collapse on her knees and looks on. Out of breath and exhausted, she sees more enemies running up to her. "I... I'm so sorry Queen Aurora, please... Forgive me, I've... Failed you..." She then closes her eyes to await her demise, then a flesh tearing sound echoed in the air. She then slowly opens her eyes, only to see the goon that was about to chop down on her has two knives stab in his neck. According to their position, it's right onto his arteries. Making him all bleed out to death, she looks wide eye as the one about to kill her was killed instead. When his body fell down dead, she saw the shadow of the person who saved her. He reached out his hand to her. "Need a hand, Lady Veryerait?" In the back of her mind, he sounded familiar to her. But as she slowly reaches out, she closes her eyes and collapse on the ground. The last thing she saw was him picking her up and setting her on the wall, puts a coat on her and smile. "You're gonna be fine Lady Veryerait, good thing I came just in time." She tries to make out his face, but her exhaustion got the better of her and she passes out.

Inside the castle, Danralg grips the hilt of his sword and swings it on the curtains. The moment he swung it, a click sound was heard in his sword and a chain was extended out from the hilt of his sword and inside the blade itself. Making his large sword not only into duel blades, but as a chain flail as well. His chain rips the curtains away and also struck two knights hidden behind them, one has a broken leg while the other has a dislocated shoulder. They look up at him as his chain retracted back, making his chain flail back into the large sword. He then looks at them, then looks at Aurora at the end of the throne. Seeing she was just standing there, he slowly walks to her last two knights willingly to protect her. He then looks at Aurora. "My lady, you're looking lovely today. I'm so sorry you'll have to watch this." She clutches her dagger hidden within her sleeves, shivering out of slight fear of what he meant by that. "What do you mean, by that Danralg?" And to answer that, he thrust his sword forward and his blade extended out, like it was stretched outward, to one of her knights as a lance. The sharp tip stab right through his heart, she saw it with her own eyes. Once he pulled it out, the lance weapon pulled back and became a sword again. He then looks at her last night and raise the sword over him, she saw the blade of his weapon shifted into two pieces together and back on the hilt. It became a hammer and he slams it down onto her last knight, crushing his lungs and died slowly. Once he lifted his hammer back up and on his side, it shifted back into a large sword again. Aurora then stare at him into his glowing yellow eyes. "So... The rumors are true... Danralg, The Stalwart who uses a Multi-Weapon. A special weapon that only you have design that's Five weapons in one. You used to been a great knight, but now... You're only a heartless warlord." He then chuckles and clap his hands to her. "Hehehe, bravo Queen Aurora. So you have heard a lot about me, very good indeed." He then grabs his sword and still drags it as he walks to her, she was cornered to a wall as he was getting closer. "So, are you going to give me your kingdom to me the easy way. Or..." He lifts the blade up to her quickly, the blade was closely held to her neck. "Shall this be, the hard way?" At that, she pulled out her dagger and stabs it to his helm. Sadly, her dagger broke as his armor was too thick to pierce. He shook his head in disappointment. "Tisk tisk tisk Aurora, you should have chosen the easy way instead." He then raise his sword up and looks at Aurora. "Farwell, Queen Aurora." She see there is no way out as she closes her eyes when he swing his sword down at her, ready to end her life.....

"OBJECTION!!!" Aurora heard that and the sound of metal striking metal, when she open her eyes, she saw Danralg's sword stop halfway to her. She saw two battle axes were jab into the wall behind her has stop his sword not a moment too soon. She then looks where they were thrown and saw a shadow figure was at the front door, she focus her eyes and his image became clear. "A-A-Anubis!" He was grinning at the end of the hallway as he takes out a large sword with a maple wood color scheme on the sword, a white tint on the edges, and it was more narrow in the middle of the blade. "Wh-What are you doing here Anubis?" He looks at her with a bored expression. "Aw c'mon, is that all I get? No 'Omg Anubis you saved my life' or 'Wow you came just in time' or maybe-" Danralg looses patience and he swung his chain flail weapon at him. "Enough!" As the blade flies to him, Anubis hold his sword out and strikes it down on it, making the blade stab into the ground right before it struck him. "Hey big, tall, and ugly, I was talking to that beautiful heck of a queen there." Aurora blush when he called her beautiful, but was more surprise that he deflected his attack with ease. Never saw him in battle at all, she looks at him and Danralg. "Who are you, are you a pathetic jester of this castle? Or are you the village idiot?" Anubis smile as he held out his blade ready. "Why don't ya ask your mother last night?" Annoyed, Danralg then pulled the chain and it quickly retracted his blade back, becoming a sword again. "I don't have time for this, say goodbye!" He aims his sword at Aurora, but Anubis tossed a knife to a wall and a secret false brick was pushed in. The wall that Aurora was leaning against on spin around, a secret wall to escape! She hits the wall, fearful about Anubis being alone with Danralg. "Anubis, just run away! He's too strong for you, you'll get killed!" Afraid, she runs up the stairs and there was a window that overviews her throne. She looks and see Danralg was standing at her throne and looking at Anubis, he still has that brown sword in his hands. But something about it seems familiar to her. She pulls out a book she has gotten from the library last night and flips through the pages as she looks at them.

She then found a picture of the same sword Anubis was wielding in his hands. "Genji Blade? A blade that was battled through the sweat, dust, and blood of battle. Made with a fine metal that can knock back light armored foes." She looks down at the battle to see what will happen. Danralg then takes wield out Duel Blades and charge at Anubis, he stood his ground as he held the sword out. He was about to strike Anubis with a Scissor Slice attack, but when he did his attack was stop as Anubis holds out the Genji Blade in the middle to stop his attack. "What the? Impossible, no weapon has withstand this attack." Danralg said as he was surprise at that, then Anubis slides under his sword and swung upward at his armored chest. The moment he strikes with contact, Danralg was sent back flying and crash on the throne. Anubis grins as he still stood his ground. "Whats the matter Mr. Warlord? This sword too tough for that armor of yours?" Danralg put his duel blade away to become a huge sword again as he gets up, he held his chest where Anubis struck him. When he looks at his armor, there was a crack in the middle. "Wha! I-It can't be, how is this possible!?" Danralg was in shock to see that sword actually cracked his hard armor. Aurora was equally surprise and read on the book, seeing as the blade has more weight on the tip it has more strength when swung. Making the sword also Anti-Armor. "My gosh, he really does have a chance to win this." Aurora thought to herself, seeing as there is hope for the kingdom riding on Anubis' shoulders. Anubis then keeps on mocking Danralg. "Whats the matter Mr. Warlord, this Pathetic Jester you called is too much for you and gave you a poor widdle boo-boo? Do you want me to kiss it?" Angry, Danralg charges at Anubis with his big sword ready to swing. "Rrrraaaaahhhhh!" Anubis gets ready to attack, but then Danralg quickly shifted his sword into the Hammer form and swung it towards Anubis' side. "Whoa!" He quickly guarded and braced for impact. "Fly away!" Danralg yelled as he strike Anubis' weapon and he sends Anubis flying out of the castle from the front door, he then jumps after him as their battle was taken outside. Aurora gasp as she ran up the stairs to the top chambers to have a view to see where they are, she looks around and she saw Anubis' sword was on the other side of the Big Bridge that's between her castle and the town. She then saw Danralg was on the castle side of the bridge while Anubis was on the town side. He then shifted his sword into a chain flail and he starts swinging it around him, she was surprise that he wasn't trying to strike Anubis with it, but he destroyed the walk ways off each side. Making sure they are both trapped on the Big Bridge and no one will assist them, she grips her book closely and hoping Anubis would be alright even though his sword was out of reach.

On the Big Bridge, Danralg pulled his chain back and made the Chain Flail back into the large sword form. He then chuckles as he see he has trap Anubis right where he wants him, even more he's unarmed with any weapon. "Hehehehehe, well... Looks like the cat has cornered the rat." "I'm a freaking canine Einstein." Danralg started walking towards Anubis, he makes his sword into Duel Blades and strikes them together as he gets closer to Anubis. "So you little pest, any last words before I take your head as my worthy trophy?" Anubis, even though he's cornered, he still smiles. "Well just a few." "Hmph, they say your last breath, while you still can pathetic insect." And at that, Anubis reaches behind his back and pulls out what appears to be a curved Scimitar with a deep blue blade and what appears to have golden vein like patterns on it. "Meet my 4th weapon of choice, Zantetsuken" At this, Danralg didn't hesitated and tries to strike Anubis with his Duel Blades to his neck. But Anubis leaned back and slide under him and stood behind him, holding Zantetsuken with his right hand and grins. Aurora was looking at them with a telescope and saw the blade he has, she looks through the book and found the picture of the sword. "A ha, here it is. The Zantetsuken, a mighty sword wielded by an ancient Knight who rode on a 6-legged horse throughout the Earth. The sword is said to have the strength to slice open a doorway to another dimension, wow... But how did Anubis came by to those weapons at all?"

Danralg then put his Duel Blades back into his large sword, then he thrusts it towards Anubis as it extended out into a Lance form trying to stab it to his light armor body. "Take this!" But Anubis does a side swipe with Zantetsuken and strikes his lance, nothing happened as the Lance was a foot away from his torso. "What is this? Is this some kind of trick you pull?" Anubis chuckled when he said that and holds out the blade at Danralg. "Why don't you just ask your left horn that?" "What are you talking about-" And at that, he hears a slice sound and his left horn fell down to the ground. It was easily sliced down from the middle, Danralg feels for it and looks at his horn, he then closes his fist and glares at Anubis. "You will PAY for this!" Filled with rage, he retracts his lance back into a large sword, then he pulls out his Duel Blades and starts to attack Anubis in a fury of swinging attacks. Anubis starts to try and deflect his his attacks and steps back as they got closer to his body. Danralg then tries to stab down with one to Anubis' foot, he jump up and stands on the blade. Then he uses his extra blade to try and strike him from the side, but Anubis jumps again, leaps over him, and strikes his back with the Zantetsuken. When he landed, Danralg then quickly put his blades back together as a large sword again and he swung it to Anubis. It shifted into it's Hammer form before Anubis realized it and he tries to strike his upcoming attack. But the mass and size of the hammer was strong enough to send the Zantetsuken fly off of his hand and spin far away from his view, he then holds the tip of his large sword at Anubis' left shoulder and press it forward. Stab through his shoulder and making him bleed, Anubis grips it and gritted his teeth as he still looks at Danralg. "Well, seems like your mighty blade is missing, but I have to say you are indeed an interesting fighter I've have skirmished in my lifetime. Maybe in the afterlife we can continue battling each other in an Endless Cycle of Conflict. Sad to say, this has to be your demise now. But don't worry, I'll take very good care of the kingdom after I deal with the queen." He then raise his sword up, ready to slam it down on Anubis. Aurora was scared as this is truly the end for Anubis.

"HOLD IT!" Was heard behind Danralg, he looks behind him and it was Veryerait on the Castle side of the Big Bridge. She was staggering as close as possible to the edge where Danralg has destroyed, she then looks at him and picks up a weapon on the ground and holds it out. Ready to throw it. "Hmph, do you plan on striking me from that distance by throwing that? That weapon won't even harm me even if I'm not armored." He then made his sword into a Chain Flail again and swings it over his head. "I don't have time for you, farewell." He then swings downward ready to strike Veryerait, but then Anubis kick his left leg hard on the knee and made it bend. From the sudden change, Danralg swung his sword way past Veryerait as she throws the weapon to the sky above him. Then Anubis jumped from Danralg's head and grabs the weapon and landed down in front of Danralg, he then kick him on the chest and he was pushed back. Making his chain yanked and pulled back to him, becoming the large sword again. Anubis looks back at Veryerait and waves at her. "Thank you Lady Veryerait, I owe you one for this!" She then waved back as she goes into the castle to go to Aurora. "Don't thank me Anubis, lets call it even for helping me with those goons in the front door." She then goes inside and walk up the stairs into the top chamber where Aurora is watching them. Anubis then holds out the weapon to Danralg, it was a long wooden pole but at the tip was a long curved blade. "Heh, well wouldn't you know it. It's a Naginata, one heck of a sword." Danralg heard that and he gets up. "You idiot, a Naginata is an Anti-Horse rider weapon. It is not any type of sword at-" And to disrupt his sentence, Anubis holds it to the bottom edge and he swung it to him. Danralg then leap to the side but the blade slice a huge hole in his cape right from the middle and all the way to the right side. "You fool! Now I am pissed off! Get ready, for I will not hold back for this now!" He grab his cape, torn it off, and cast it aside as it falls down the Big Bridge. Anubis smiles as he holds the Naginata like any regular lance with one hand and takes a stance, motion his hand to Danralg to tell him to come at him. "C'mon, give me everything you got Mr. Former Hero" Danralg starts to swing his large sword at Anubis, thankfully the size makes his swinging slow so Anubis has time to dodge and tries striking him with the Naginata. He tries his hardest to strike him on any vital openings as much as possible, but still his armor is too thick to even penetrate with the Naginata. Although he was quite more agile attacking him, making Danralg more angry. "Grr, I've had enough of this you rat." He grips his sword and swing it to Anubis, it shifted into the Hammer form and Anubis tries to block the attack. But the strength was hard enough to break the Naginata in half and send the bladed part down the bridge, Anubis throw away the other piece and looks around. He then gets ready as Danralg swings his hammer down to him, last second Anubis jumps back from his range. But when Danralg slams down, it caused debris to erupt from where he slams down. "What was that?" Anubis asked, Danralg chuckle and made his hammer back into a sword. "That was my strength to kill you, but seems like you were lucky to evade it. Too bad you're unarmed right now, maybe this should help." He lunges forward and delivered a knee attack to Anubis' abdomen, he vomited a bit from that sudden strike and he was above the ground a bit. Then Danralg throw a punch at his face, striking him hard on his left eye and Anubis fell off the Big Bridge. Aurora and Veryerait saw that and gasp as they saw Anubis has probably fell down to his death. Danralg laugh madly as he finally had defeated Anubis the worst way possible yet, he then turns his head to the top chamber and grins under his helm. He then slowly walks towards the castle side of the Big Bridge, but then he stops as he hears some grunting. He turns around and saw Anubis jump from the edge and back on the Big Bridge, even more surprising he's wielding two identical over size curved katana in his hands and a weird blue sword with a sun motif was sheathed on his back. Aurora saw that and looks them up in her book to find the description. She has found it and started reading their description.

"The long katana is called the Masamune, an oversize Katana once wielded by a former champion long ago. After his death, there were more swords being made in honor of his heroic deeds back then. They say his spirit still lives in the katanas made after his, useful to cut through a huge army." Anubis holds out the two Masamunes and grins. "Surprise surprise?" Danralg was speechless seeing him still alive and acquired more weapons. "How in the blazes did you ever survive that, and more importantly how did you acquire those weapons you have?" "Because, his 'partner' came by just in the nick of time!" "Partner?" Danralg thought, Anubis chuckles and charges at him with both Masamune in his hands. He leaps up and slashes both katanas down to him, Danralg guarded by holding out his sword as a blocking weapon. Deflected his attacks away and he pulls out his Duel Blades, ready to counter attack him. He swings his swords to try and strike Anubis' exposed body since he's wearing Light Armor, but with his blades they're much heavier to strike with one hand each. Anubis was much more quicker since his weapons are very slim katanas, he then stand on one leg, holds one sword out above his pointing at the ground while the other one out and pointing at Danralg. Leaving himself open for a clear attack. "Heh, a bad mistake there." He then put his blades back together and thrusts his sword to stab his open chest as a lance. But then Anubis hop on the leg he was standing, spin in mid air to easily dodge his lance attack. Then he strikes both Masamunes at the same time right on his lance, the impact made his lance vibrate and retracted back as a sword. Danralg was surprise and tries to stab him with the lance attack again, but it didn't came out. "What is this!? What did you do to my weapon!?" He yelled at Anubis, he held out one Masamune at him and smile. "You forgotten, these are the Masamune, and they have the spirit of the champion who wielded the original Masamune. They're very special weapons, in fact so special, that they can easily disable the weapon you use. So in other words, you can't use your lance attack anymore." Angered, Danralg then swing his sword and made it into a chain flail, the heavy blade flies at Anubis at a quick speed. But he duck and leaps up and X-Scissor strike his Chain flail, it quickly retracted back to him.  It became his large sword again and disable its chain flail ability. "Heh, if you think that's bad, just watch this that I learned from him." Again Danralg ponder at what he meant by 'him' he's been saying. "Who are you talking about? Who is 'Him' and his 'Partner'?" Anubis then turns his back at him and holds the swords to his chest in a concentrating stance, staying quiet as he breathes slowly and deeply. "I'm getting tired of waiting, you won't fight then I'll end this long forsaken battle myself!" He then lifts his sword up and it shifts into a hammer, ready to over head swing down on his head, Aurora covers her eyes not wanting to watch Anubis become part of the Big Bridge. Then he opens his eyes wide and quickly turns around. When Danralg swung down, Anubis deflect his hammer up with one sword strike. Then he uses the other sword to strike his gauntlets hard, causing them to vibrate and lets go of his weapon as it falls to the far side of the Big Bridge on the castle side. "What the!? My queen, look quickly!" Lady Veryerait says and Aurora looks at the Big Bridge, surprise to see Danralg is disarmed. Then they saw Anubis strike his chest with a side slash, then he turn and smack the hilt of the second sword on his stomach. He then delivers a round swing from his first sword at his left leg with a follow up from his other sword at his other leg, then he swung his first sword diagonally across his hip to his shoulder and the other sword diagonally down from his other shoulder to his hip. He then stabs one sword down on his left foot, pierced through and pinned him there. Then uses the other sword to do the same and make him pinned his foot there as well, he still holds onto the hilts and back flips. During his back flip he strikes Danralg on his chin with his foot and pulled off his swords, making Danralg fall back and land next to his sword. Anubis then lands with his swords held out and his eyes closed, he then breathed out slowly, stands up, and turns around looking at Danralg. He staggers up and grabs his sword, but when he tries to lift his sword, he hears multiple clicks and looks down. Almost instantly, his gauntlets, boots, and his entire armor with the exception of his helm almost exploded off of his body. Most of the hooks to keep them together fell off the Big Bridge and he looks around frantically. "But... But how!? How is that possible!?" He screamed as he glares at Anubis, Aurora and Veryerait were surprise at the swift strike and accuracy he made at exposing his own body. Anubis then explains to him. "That was one of the special techniques that 'he' has taught me to quickly strike with speed and precision to disarm your armor right off." Danralg then grabs his Sword and pulls out the Duel Blades mad. "Tell me! Who is this 'HE' you've been saying!?" Anubis grins and answered his question. "My mentor, my teacher, and a Legendary Swordsman long time ago." He then takes a ready stance as Danralg gets up, his weapon can't become a chain flail, lance, and a hammer. He pulls out his duel blades and charges at Anubis. They locked swords and step back, Danralg then tries to thrust one of his blades at Anubis. He side step away and slash Danralg in the chest, he dodged it barely but he feels the impact on his chain-mail. As they fight, Danralg kept eying that blue blade Anubis has sheathed by his side. He then plots an idea to get him completely open for an attack. He tries to over head swing with one attack, Anubis has blocked it. Then he tries a side attack and Anubis blocks it with his other sword, but then Danralg did a hard Spartan kick right on Anubis chest. Knocking not only the wind out of him, but he drops the two Masamune out of his hands as well. He slides back and Danralg just kick the two Masamunes off the edge of the Big Bridge, he then planted his foot on Anubis' stomach to keep him pinned down to the ground, reaches down, and grabs the hilt of the blue sword. He pulls it out of its scabbard and looks at it. It was a blue long sword with a sun motif and a swirly design on the blade yet the edges and tip are finely sharpen to the peak. "Well, what a mighty fine sword this is. I'll bet your mentor has given you this fine sword." Aurora and Veryerait saw the sword and looks in the book, soon they found it and Lady Veryerait was surprise at it. "My queen, that's... that's..." Aurora reads on the sword description. "It's, Excalibur! The mightiest sword of all! Wielded by King Arthur himself, it is said that who so ever wield his sword shall be granted a strong power like no other. But Danralg is wielding it." They look on to the battle, seeing as Danralg is holding the sword and point it to Anubis. "Well, seems like the tables has turn on you now. But it sure was one battle that I will never forget. Anubis, the Knight who has nearly beaten the mighty Warlord Danralg. Truly a battle that I will keep in my memories. Now then, farewell!" He then stabs the sword through Anubis' chest, piercing his heart. Anubis then lays back, all limp and stiff. Seeing this, Aurora starts to go into tears seeing he has finally been struck down for good. She starts to cry onto Lady Veryerait's shoulder as she tries to comfort her queen for the loss of Anubis after his hard effort to defeat the evil Warlord. The end was now as Danralg left the sword inside Anubis' body and he turns around and looks at the castle...

"..... Heh, hehehehehehe." Someone was starting to laugh. At the sound of that, Danralg, Aurora, and Veryerait look at Anubis' corpse. He was starting to laugh more and more as he stands up, still has the sword skewered through his heart. "Ahahahaha! Hahahahahaha! Hoo boy, you sure did made one heck of a speech there man. Hahaha." He's scaring Aurora, Veryerait, and even Danralg seeing as he's still standing with the sword through his body. "Wh-What is this!? Is this some kind of black magic that has made you lived!?" Danralg yelled as he was freaking out, Aurora and Veryerait were equally scared as he slowly pulls the sword out of his body. Once it was all out, they notice there was no blood what so ever on the blade nor spilling out of his body. It's like as if the sword has phase right through him like a ghost. "Man, I sure have you fooled. You truly thought I was dead from this sword that you 'thought' it was Excalibur." At the sound of that, Aurora looks through the book and found the page she was on. "But.. But the book says the exact description of Excalibur, how can he survive that fatal attack and act like everything is OK?" Then that's when she noticed a torn page fell out of her book, she picks it up and she started reading the page. "But after Excalibur was missing, many blacksmiths have tried endlessly to re-create Excalibur for greedy reasons. Unfortunately they all have failed and in so they have a huge stockpile of swords that is very identical to Excalibur in it's form. But the difference between the real and fakes is that the fake is all blue while the real one is said to be all red. Also the fake ones may give a warrior a weapon, but the problem is that the sword is as harmless as a fly. Thus the fake Excaliburs are scattered around the world as a toy for kids due to the fact that they can never kill anyone, so they have called the fake Excaliburs into Excalipoors." And at that, both Aurora and Veryerait burst into laughter. Seeing as how the mighty evil Warlord Danralg, was easily fooled by a mere child's toy. Anubis throws the sword behind him and it falls off the Big Bridge, grins at Danralg who was mad beyond being mad before and he grips his large sword. "I will NOT let you see the light of day any longer!" He raise up his sword and slams down on Anubis, creating a large dust cloud covering them. Aurora saw and screamed out for him. "Anubis nooooooo!!!" Lady Veryerait holds Aurora back from jumping out the window. "My queen don't jump!" She holds her back and made sure she didn't let go.

Down on the Big Bridge, the smoke slowly clears away to show what has happen after the strike that Danralg did. But when it was clear enough, Aurora, Veryerait, and Danralg saw he was holding out a sword with one hand. Once it was cleared enough, they saw the sword he was wielding was red with a sun motif with a swirly design on the blade yet the edges were finely sharpen to the peak. Aurora muttered to herself. "Is that... What I think it is?" Veryerait slowly nods to her. "It is my queen... It's... It's..." Anubis grins and swings the sword to Danralg's sword. When it went into contact, they heard a loud shock-wave and it flings his sword up in the air and landed behind him as he holds the tip out to Danralg's face. "It's THE Excalibur that my mentor has lend me and delivered to me from his partner." He then slash Excalibur on his chest, that blow was as strong as three swords combine. He flew back hard and staggers up, tries to swing his sword at him. But Anubis hold out the sword and swung it at his Large sword, causing it to fly out of his hands and land on the castle side of the Big Bridge, he is now completely unarmed and helpless as he watches Anubis. He smiles as he holds Excalibur in front of his face, a knight's salute and he holds Excalibur out. "Time to finish this once and for all Danralg, for the Queen and her kingdom!" Excalibur then started glowing a luminous orange hue and it was brightly lit that even the town's people can see, they all look at him and he jumps high in the air. Soon he was Twenty-Five feet in the air and he goes down with Excalibur ready to strike, he lands on the ground on his feet and swipe the sword on the ground. A rumble occurred and there was fire erupting from the ground, wind swirls around it in a cutting motion, and thunder from the sky striking where they occur. It starts off in front of Anubis from the left side, then goes on to the right side, and so on in a zig-zag approaching Danralg. Everyone, especially Danralg was surprise at this power of Excalibur that Anubis sent. Then finally, the fire erupted from the ground, burning his lower body and welded his feet to the ground. The wind spiral around him and easily cuts his chain mail off, only his dented helm remains on his head. And finally, thunder has struck down from the remaining horn on his. Electrocuting his entire body with tons and tons of voltage. Now, he fell back onto the ground and passes out from what he has been struck with as Anubis turns his back on him. Swung Excalibur a few times and slowly sheathed it back in it's scabbard on his back, an image like a true Knight when he finishes off a strong foe. He then talks out loud one more time. "Ultimate Illusion... One of Excalibur's most powerful attacks." Then, he slowly fell forward, landed on the front of his body, and passes out. The last thing he saw was a winged shadowy figure appeared from under the Big Bridge and walks towards him.

Hours later, Anubis slowly wakes up and he sat up. He has a few patches of bandages on his body from the bruises he endured from the attacks from Danralg. He looks around and see he's in a room, he slowly gets up and walks out of the room. He walks down the hallway and goes through a door, from the other side of the door he saw everyone was celebrating in the grand throne room. Food was being passed around and drinks were served in big cups, at the throne was Aurora smiling as she looks at everyone are enjoying their celebration and happiness. Aurora then saw Anubis. "Anubis! You're awake!" She gets off her throne and hugs him tightly. "Ack! A-Aurora, y-you're crushing my bones." She then loosens her grip and kiss his cheek. "Sorry, but I'm glad you're awake. You did a very good job at defeating that warlord Danralg. Thanks to you, you not only got him to justice, but you also saved the kingdom, the people, the other surviving knights, Lady Veryerait, and including me." She goes to her throne and takes out a Royal design saber, removes it from it's scabbard, and she taps the flat side of the blade on each of his shoulders. "Young Anubis, I here by knight thee for all your bravery, chivalry, and nobility. You are now ranked more above then the knights of the round table, you are now... Judge Magister Anubis, Aura Knight of Vadna. In honor for the loss of your home town, you shall carry on the spirit of the people who once lived and died in it. May you pass down judgment to those who shall be punished, and bring them to justice once and for all." She then sheathed the saber and smiles at him, everyone in the throne room cheer for the new knight of the entire kingdom. Anubis looks back and he sees everyone has bow down to him. Including the other knights and Lady Veryerait, he looks back at Aurora and she bow her head to him. Anubis rubs the back of his head and nervously smile at the praise he's getting. "Oh c'mon, I don't need all that much praise. I'm just like any regular knight like you guys." Then someone was clapping and approaching from the entrance of the grand throne room, everyone look and they see three figures walking in. The knights at the front entrance holds out their halberds to them to prevent them from going further, but Anubis yells out to them. "Hold it, pull back your weapons." Everyone look at Anubis, he smiles and nods his head. "That, is my mentor, and his two lifetime partners." They pull their weapons away and let the three beings walk in. The one on the right was a small wolf like creature with green fur, gold bracelets on each of it's ankles, a unique golden hue tail, purple eyes, a strange extended nose, a piece of cloth around it's neck and back that acts like a scarf, a mysterious small white wing behind it's left front leg, a grayish lower jaw of it's maw, and finally mysterious milky white lines around it's body that seems to be tattoos. Anubis smiles and pointed at him. "That is Enkido, my mentor's pet and trusted partner in battle." On the left side was a very tall being with a loincloth, a muscular tone body, all green skin, long brunette hair, two long yellow horns aiming upward, long talons and claws, two large size white feathery wings, and a tight piece of cloth tighten around his mouth assuming he's a ninja. Anubis points to him. "That is Enkidu, my mentor's life long partner." And finally before Anubis points to the one in the middle, he hold out his hand and spoke. "Don't give me introductions my star student, it is 'I' who shall introduce myself to the queen and the people of this fine kingdom." Anubis shrugs and shook his head, hopefully everyone will remember this after he's done. He's wearing a full-plate black armor on his torso and arms with a orange color hornless helmet. The lower half of his head is partially covered by a golden neck guard, he has a black belt with a golden amulet and two ropes hanging from it. He also has a black pauldron on his right shoulder with greed and blue plates, a golden outline, and a sapphire easily seen from the front. On his left shoulder was a black samurai plated pauldron with golden strands of hair on the end. His gauntlets are black with golden outlines and a sapphire brace on his wrists. His helm has a white hair pony tail sticking up from the back of his head, he has black samurai slacks but he's also wearing black knight's armored boots with a golden design on the shins. He has the same orange color cloth on his upper arms and on his back that seems to be either a small cape or a big scarf. Finally he has a huge piece of cloth on the right leg that's orange as well with a long yellow strip on the side and a yellow fire design on the orange cloth as well. Aurora thinks its a unique design considering he looks like a knight and a samurai combine. He then plant his foot forward. "I am the mightiest swordsman in all of the city of Ivalice!" He holds one hand behind and above his head. "I am known as the Dimension Hopping Wanderer!" He holds his hand out to the crowd. "I am the Legendary Swordsman known as..." He then stomps his foot forward as Enkidu and Enkido throws random confetti above and around him. "GILGAMESH!" Everyone was watching in silence, Anubis holds out a party popper and pulls the string to pop the confetti out. Aurora, on the other hand, was laughing so hard she fell back to see the unique way how Anubis' mentor has introduced himself. "I see that my entrance has dazzle you all so much I've left you all speechless, but none the less I am very grateful that my star student Anubis has expertly helped your entire kingdom along with the help of me and my partners indeed." They walk in and help themselves to the meals, Anubis was just standing by Aurora who is still laughing at his introduction as Anubis' face shows how embarrassed he is.

The next day, Anubis was slipping into his new attire. It was some simple indigo pants and sleeveless shirt, a belt, brown boots and gauntlets. And uniquely he has a single pauldron over his left shoulder. It's a light armor he wears when ever he's going out to scout the town or hang around to see the sights. He goes out to town with his weapon, a Buster Sword he carries around his back. He smiles at the locals waving at him and he goes in a bar to order something to eat. It was his favorite place to eat called 'The BBQ Smash-On", he waved at the manager who knows him for a while and he served him his favorite plate. It was fried pork marinated in BBQ sauce with a few sprinkles of tequila, steamed veges, and Spanish rice all along with a bottle of coke. "Thanks Doc. How much do I owe ya?" He waved his hand a bit. "Hey for my favorite customer and hero of town, it's on da house." Anubis was happy as he sat down and eats his food, enjoying every bite of it for a while. Soon he was done and he gave Doc a hefty tip and left. He then walks up to the castle and into his room, he smiles as he looks at the corner of his wall to see Danralg's large sword resting on the corner. He looks up and see his helm that they remove from him is resting on top of his drawer on a stand, and on a plaque on the wall was the horn he has sliced off. Finally he looks at the wall and it was Danralg's actual armor hanged up, he smiles as he knows that Danralg was sent to the prison far away on an island. He then looks at a huge set of armor on a stand, he looks at it and saw a note and reads it. "Dear Anubis, I hope you enjoy this new special suit of armor that was made with one of the lightest yet strongest materials we can find. Loves and Kisses, Lady Veryerait." Anubis blushes at those requests and looks at the armor. It was a full suit of plate mail with a horned helmet and a long black cape with the symbol of Lady Veryerait and Queen Aurora's silhouette in red on the back. Also there were multiple hooks to wield many scabbards of 8 different swords, but there were two duel blades on the sides of his armor. They both have a sharp edge yet the swords themselves are very light, he smiles as he gets himself into the armor. He sighs as he puts the horned helm on, he's not too big on helms but it was a formal attire when inside the kingdom. He breathes in and walks down the stairs, when he goes through the door everyone saw and stare at him. They step away for him to walk towards the throne where Aurora is, as he walks down they go on one knee and bow down to him. To everyone, he's a most well respected knight and the late people of his burned town Vadna would be proud of him. But inside, Anubis was just embarrassed to get this much praise from a huge amount of people. Soon he was in front of Aurora and bows down to her, she taps his helm to get his attention. When he looks up, she pointed right next to her. Giving him the position to guard her like Lady Veryerait so that they both can switch from day to evening.

And from then on, Anubis has been switching back and forth positions to guard Queen Aurora. When trouble was around, he stands on the Big Bridge with his new duel blades ready and to make sure some of the other weapons his Mentor Gilgamesh gave him. His mentor Gilgamesh and his partners have started a dojo in town to train other young people who wants to become a knight, occasionally they put on a show of Gilgamesh' many Adventures he had with his two partners Enkido and Enkidu. And every now and then, Anubis has spend time with Veryerait and Aurora in the dining room to eat, out on walks, and watching the stars together. And Anubis couldn't be more happier as long as he serves the kingdom and protect not just the people, but Aurora and Veryerait as well. He closes his eyes as he sleeps in his bed soundly, a knight's duty is to protect and pass down judgment.
